Coco Chanel

Today i watched a movie called "Coco before Chanel" in French (but of course English subtitles, otherwise i would not have under stood a thing) , it's about Gabrielle Coco Chanel and her life before she became a legendary fashion designer, it was very fascinating. Honestly as much as i adore fashion i never knew much about  Chanel other than her clothing were elegant and classy and continue to be. I learned a lot about her by watching this movie. Before Chanel became a designer, i never would have guessed she had a manly style, never wore corsets, and did horse back riding! (which i used to do when i was younger, its so fun and i miss it dearly!) how cool is that?!?! i love her for being an independent, strong woman, especially during the 1900's! after i watched the movie i actually did more research on her and plan on checking out a book from the library. I obviously enjoyed the movie otherwise i wouldn't have done this post! i definitely recommend it. I could go on but i don't want to spoil anything about the movie or Chanel (if you didn't know much about her already) i hope you enjoyed :)

Hey! today i had a nice saturday :) i went out with my family and did a little shopping, i bought a nice shirt and a pair of jeans. We ate out at KFC (which i love! best chicken ever) then i went to my cousins house. it was pretty fun and the temperature today was at 86 degrees! ahh i just love spring, everything is so beautiful. Now i just want to cuddle up, eat buttery popcorn and watch a movie :) i hope you had a wonderful day!

This outfit shows my classy side! the top has a butterfly pattern with a bow on the side and ruched sleeves which i adore! they are so girly :) i paired it with a pencil skirt and added a gold belt the compliment the outfit, and of course heels! like coco chanel said "A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous" i hope you have a wonderful weekend and T.G.I.F right!?!

Gossip Girl

One of the reasons i watch "Gossip Girl" is because of the fashion. The characters have amazing style, very fashion forward, elegant, and sexy. Every time i watch an episode i feel inspired by the bright colors, mixed patterns, and the cut of the clothing. My favorite fashionistas on the show have to be Serena Van Der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf (obviously lol). Blair's style is very classic, preppy, and polished. Serena's style is very boho chic and sexy at the same time. ahh! i just want to own all their clothing!. But i also love the drama on the show, very scandalous!. Gossip Girl is definitely one of my favorite shows. It airs on the CW, usually on mondays and i heard its going to start airing again on April 18th. I hope you enjoyed! and all the fashionistas out there will love Gossip Girl fashion just as much as i do!
